1. Introduction & Business Overview
This website and its associated services are operated by Beyond Limits Imports (“BLI,” “we,” “us”). By accessing our site or engaging our import brokerage services, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Beyond Limits Imports provides import brokerage services only. We do not sell, stock, or take title to vehicles. Vehicles sourced through our process are purchased by you (or on your behalf as your agent) from overseas auctions or suppliers. Title transfers from the overseas seller to you, not to BLI.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.
2. Scope of Services
We specialize in sourcing and importing Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) and other specialty vehicles into Canada, plus related support (inspections, auction-sheet translation, shipping coordination, and customs handling as agreed in your package). We also offer branded merchandise (gear) for sale separately from vehicle brokerage.
Auction & sourcing data: Condition reports, translated auction sheets, and grading notes are provided in good faith from overseas partners and auction houses. They are subject to the limits of remote inspection.
Imperfections: Used JDM vehicles often have wear that photos and written descriptions may not fully capture.
Availability: Auction inventory changes constantly. A vehicle can become unavailable before bidding or purchase is completed.
3. Eligibility, Engagement, & Deposits
By engaging Beyond Limits Imports, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You have the legal and financial capacity to complete the import.
- Information you provide for registration, shipping, and billing is accurate.
Service fees & deposits
Our invoices cover brokerage and logistics service fees (and any third-party costs we collect on your behalf as described on your invoice). Sourcing deposits or retainers are subject to the refundability terms stated at invoicing. We may decline or cancel a sourcing request at our discretion; uncommitted funds will be refunded promptly.
Vehicle purchase funds paid to win or buy a vehicle overseas are your funds applied to your vehicle acquisition. Once those funds are committed at auction or to a supplier on your behalf, they are generally non-refundable except as that auction or supplier’s rules allow.
4. International Transit, Customs, & Compliance
Importing involves international logistics, ocean shipping, and federal border rules. You acknowledge:
Duties & port fees: Unless your package expressly includes landed-and-cleared costs, federal import duties (where applicable), customs brokerage fees, port handling, and storage are your responsibility. Japanese-manufactured vehicles are generally duty free into Canada; vehicles of other origin imported from Japan may carry duty.
Compliance: We help navigate Canadian import age and safety rules. You remain responsible for provincial registration, insurance, and emissions requirements where you register the vehicle.
Timelines: Shipping and clearance dates are estimates. We are not liable for delays from carriers, ports, customs, weather, or other logistics disruptions.
Risk of loss: Transit damage or loss is governed by the marine cargo insurance selected for your shipment. BLI is not responsible for transit damage outside the carrier’s or insurer’s coverage.
5. Cancellations, Finality, & Refunds
After purchase abroad: Once a vehicle is won at auction or purchased from an overseas supplier on your behalf, the brokerage engagement for that vehicle cannot be canceled, and committed vehicle funds plus incurred third-party costs are non-refundable.
Vehicle condition: Imported used vehicles are acquired as-is from the overseas seller. BLI does not issue a dealer bill of sale as seller of the vehicle and does not provide an implied mechanical warranty unless a separate written warranty is expressly offered in writing.
Material discrepancies: If a vehicle arrives with severe, undocumented material issues that diverge fundamentally from the auction sheet (excluding expected transit wear or minor cosmetics), notify us in writing within 7 days of delivery with clear photos so we can help evaluate next steps with the relevant parties.
6. Local Inspections & Registration
We do not guarantee that an uninspected import will pass provincial safety inspection without maintenance (tires, brakes, lighting, or other work). Post-import compliance work, inspection fees, and registration costs are your responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing. Turn Key and similar packages may include coordination of BC registration and related steps as described in your package agreement; that coordination does not make BLI the seller or title holder of the vehicle.
7. Merchandise (Gear)
Branded merchandise sold through our gear offerings is sold by Beyond Limits Imports as retail product, separate from vehicle brokerage. Gear orders are subject to availability and the specifics confirmed when you order.
8. Intellectual Property
All media, logos, text, website layouts, photography, and digital content associated with Beyond Limits Imports are our property or our licensors’. You may not copy or use our brand assets commercially without written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beyond Limits Imports and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our brokerage services or your use of an imported vehicle, including mechanical failure, loss of profits, downtime, or personal injury.
Our total liability for any claim connected to an import engagement will not exceed the net amount you paid to Beyond Limits Imports for our brokerage and logistics service fees on that engagement (excluding vehicle purchase funds and third-party pass-through costs).
10. Governing Law
These Terms, and any separate sourcing or service agreements, are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Disputes must be brought in the courts of British Columbia.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes apply when posted on this page. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
